Using Zadie Smith’s short story The Lazy River, this poster and zine series explores how people attempt to 
resist the currents of life yet inevitably fail to do so. Drawing on themes of class, social media, and the illusion 
of choice, the project uses fragmented organic forms and disrupted circular compositions to visualize the tension 
between individual agency and larger social structures.
